At The Gathering
I wrote this one for the fifth annual Gathering of the Gargoyles. And I am so glad I got to attend.
After One Thousand Years River Of Dreams, Billy Joel's final album, includes a lovely song called "After Two Thousand Years." I was listening to the album and debating whether or not to write this filk. The song immediately after it, "Famous Last Words," begins: "Sittin' here in Avalon, / Lookin' at the pouring rain..." And thus was this written.
Angel Of the Night
To a traditional tune that my father and uncle used to sing. (Or if you feel like it, you can sing it to the tune of "Oh, Susannah" or "The Yellow Rose of Texas," but it loses some of the impact that way.)
Goodnight Wyvern
We said we'd stand or fall together.... Co-written with Patrick Toman.
The Innocent Heart
Or, three moments of change. A crossover filk that extends into the fan-written Gargoyles Saga, where it picks up on Greg Weisman's eternal theme of redemption.
The Mirror Duet
Not, strictly speaking, a duet. Two songs set at the end of the episode "The Mirror," one from the perspective of each protagonist.
New!A Sky Too Blue
Demona near the end of the episode Hunter's Moon.
Threes: Gargoyles
Yet another revision of Misty Lackey's popular filksong. This one pretty much sums up what it's like to be a Defender Of The NightTM in Manhattan.
Time-Dancin' Blues
Or, "Buddy, Can You Spare The Time?" Based on the fan-written Timedancer series.
Timedancer
A slightly darker take on the subject. Set near the end of the second season.
Under Avalon Skies
Dedicated to Patrick Toman. This is the tale of the triumph of love over pain.
Vicious Circle
Co-written with Patrick Toman. Is this how trust is repaid?
