The interminable photo shoot before the ceremony: Me in my wedding gown.
I designed the gown together with Jaz, a dressmaker of superlative talent and infinite good cheer. The headpiece belonged to my mother's mother, who wore it at her own wedding.

Me in a melodramatic pose. Oh well, at least it shows off the gown nicely.
Another pose. I really like this one.

Me and my mommy. And for some reason I'm wearing my take-over-the-world! expression....
Me and my daddy.
Me and my big brother and little sister.

Alex looking just grand in a tuxedo.

During the pre-ceremony reception. Me and one of my bridesmaids Merav, getting weepy at each other.

Before the actual marriage ceremony, there is a tradition called the badeken, where the groom comes to put the veil over the bride's face. Since according to many traditions (ours included), the bride and groom have not seen each other for the past week, this is a very emotional moment.

Another shot of the badeken.... (He brought me roses!)
...and one more nice shot: the veiling itself.
Merav and another bridesmaid Miri, walking down the aisle. (Remember where to hold the flowers!)

Alex coming down the aisle with his mother and uncle.

The happy bride and groom. The scroll-like thing I'm holding is our ketubah, the ritual marriage document, signed and witnessed. The marriage is made official by the groom handing the ketubah to the bride; she signifies her agreement by taking it from him. (Notice how smug I look in the picture? That could be why.)

Me and Alex in a ridiculously melodramatic posed shot. Cue the violins!
Another posed Bride & Groom shot (less melodramatic).

Us coming into the reception room - and seeing what our friends had set up while they were waiting for us....

The Arch of ... well, swords, and...
...and lightsabers, and other things.
